I have a Davis Vantage Pro2 weather station. The sensors are mounted outside and communicate via wireless to a console in the house. The console is connected to an old laptop computer that feeds weather data to the WeatherUnderground website. Here’s a photo of the console and the laptop. Weather data is displayed on the laptop and sent over the Internet to WeatherUnderground using the application WeatherLink ver. 6.0.3.
On the right side of each page of this website you see a small image reporting temperature and wind speed and direction. This data comes from my weather station.
Here’s a photo of the weather station sensors mounted on a pole — sensors are:
- Rainfall: current rainfall rate, and, accumulated rainfall per 24 hour period
- Wind: speed and direction
- Barometric pressure
Each of these measurements is recorded and displayed on a graph at this link: WeatherUnderground Station KVAHEATH4
